The Decision Driven® Solutions Framework (DDSF) report generator provides users with the ability to publish 2 types of reports for their decisions:
Summary Table – An Excel spreadsheet that captures all the decisions within the Decision Breakdown Structure (DBS) or any of its branches. This report includes multiple decisions, selected decision attributes (description, status, dates, impact, class etc.) and the alternatives under consideration.
Decision Report – A MS Word document that captures your thinking for a specific decision. This report includes the decision scope/framing, criteria, alternatives and the scoring of alternatives against the criteria (a table version of the Evaluate canvas). If you’re a Systems Engineer, you would call this a Trade Study Report.
Both reports are ideal for blending into the Decision Driven® Business Plan document. The Summary Table provides a very compact overview of your strategy across multiple decisions. The Decision Report documents your “due diligence” details for a high priority decision.
